What is AutoReserve
Customers use various methods when searching for a restaurant they want to visit.
For example, searching by location, such as "Shibuya, Tokyo," or using keywords like "cheap izakaya," etc., there are many ways to search.
Our company operates "AutoReserve," which is widely used as a reservation platform by many customers. Recently, the usage rate among international travelers has been increasing, and we are confident that "AI-powered reservation agents" will continue to have a growing impact worldwide.
Reservation Operations
Here is an overview of the steps customers take when making a reservation.
① Seat & Course
・On the restaurant's reservation page, locate the "Reserve" section.
・Choose the date.
・Select the number of people.
・Choose the time.
・Click the "Reserve" button.
・Select the seat and course.
・Click "Proceed to enter reservation information."
② Reservation Information
・Confirm the "Reservation Information."
・If necessary, fill in any "Allergies" or "Requests to the restaurant."
・The "Payment Information (required)" will appear according to the rules below. Please confirm.
・If displayed, you must register a valid credit card.
MEMO
About [Payment Information (Required)]
Users who meet the following two conditions will see this message:
(1) Users with a cancellation rate exceeding 50% of their total reservations made using AutoReserve.
Note: To provide better customer referral for restaurants, users with a high cancellation rate are required to input their credit card information.
(2) Users attempting to make a reservation at a restaurant with a cancellation policy for a specific course.③ Final Confirmation
The final confirmation step asks for:
・Reservation details (date, time, number of people, etc.)
・Reservation information (name, basic information)
・Other (such as allergies)
・Cancellation Policy (if a cancellation fee is set, this will be displayed and the customer must read it).
・Card Authorization (if a cancellation fee is set, this will be displayed and the customer must read it).
・We will explain the following details below. Please read the information carefully.
Memo
About Cancellation Policy:
(1) The cancellation fee is displayed if the course being reserved has a cancellation fee.
(2) In addition to the cancellation fee, "AutoReserve" will also charge a service fee.
About Card Authorization:
(1) The card authorization will be displayed if the course being reserved has a cancellation fee.
(2) The customer will pay for the meal at the restaurant on the day.
(3) We will secure a credit card authorization for the cancellation fee, which is the maximum amount that can be charged.
※Depending on the credit card company, you may receive a notification of the charge, but actual payment will only be made if the cancellation occurs and a cancellation fee is charged.MEMO
If the checkbox is not checked, the message below will appear, and you will not be able to proceed. Once completed, the message will disappear.These are the actions customers will take when making a reservation using AutoReserve.
Reservation Change Request (Note: Available only on the app)
When a customer wants to change their reservation, they can do so by the following methods:
・Calling the restaurant directly.
・Using the AutoReserve app (customer-side) to request changes.
The steps in the app are as follows:
・Open the app.
・Select "Account" at the bottom right of the screen.
・Select "Reservation List."
・Select the reservation to change.
・Select the highlighted part (as shown in the image).
・Change the necessary details (such as the number of people, date, or time).
・Click "Proceed to change seat/course."
・Select the desired seat or course, or select options for unavailable changes.
・Tap "Change with these details."
This completes the reservation change request (note that it may take up to 2 hours to reflect the change).
